My hands are shaking
and I don’t know why.

I’m moving out to
a house across the river
where I’ll be learning how to die.

NaPoWriMo
Day 9

Today’s optional prompt is to take any random song play list
(from your iPod, CO player, favourite radio station, Pandora or Spotify , etc.)
and use the next five song titles on that randomized list in a poem.

These are the first random five that came up, promise!
In case you’re interested they are:
“My Hands Are Shaking” by Sondre Lerche from Dan In Real Life
“Don’t Know Why” by Norah Jones
“Movin’ Out” by Billy Joel
“A House Across the River” by Nibs van der Spuy
“Learning How to Die” by Jon Foreman

I feel like a cheated — because I only added seven little words.
(It was a tough day . . . so I will retire earlier than usual!)
